dc.description.abstractThe goal of this study is to verify the applicability of the Sustainable Supply Chain management concept on a food-business company. Therefore, a bibliographic research was performed in order to identify the sustainability concepts, the Supply Chain Management, the Sustainable Supply Chain Management and three models of Sustainable Supply Chain Management. Based on the bibliographic research concepts, a case study has been carried out which the Sustainable Supply Chain models were applied. This study aimed to verifying if the Sustainable Supply Chain Management models are compatible with the management practices inside a focal company and suggest management measures that could contribute to the company adaptation to these models. The results found in the focal company show that 77.84% of Sustainable Supply Chain Management concept is inside the Supply Chain Management’s company. Through a second analysis was also possible to conclude that, inside the focal company´s Supply Chain Management, in comparison with the Sustainable Supply Chain Management concept requirements, was obtained: 80% of the answers are from Social requirements, 70% were from Economic requirements and 65% Environmental requirements. Thus, was possible to demonstrate the researched models utilization.
