dc.description.abstract | In view of the recent energy crisis faced by our country due to the lack of rainfall in certain regions, energy concessionaires were obliged to resort to thermoelectric power generation, which raised the generation costs, forcing them to pass the costs to consumers through alternative charging. In order to reduce costs for consumers and encourage them to seek alternative solutions, ANEEL has created a differentiated tariff known as the "White Tariff", which seeks to "reward" low-power consumers who consumption at peak time. The use of diesel generation comes as an alternative to reduce expenses and the consumption of Electric Energy from the concessionaire. In this work we aim to evaluate the viability of the use of diesel generation for a low power commercial consumer allied to the tariff change for the "White Tariff", analyzing the consumption profile of the establishment considered, through consumption data in a period of 12 months, and the possible savings generated by the change. In order to calculate the kWh price generated by the group, the study considered costs with the implementation of the enterprise, as well as several variables that influence the same. A simulation of the energy bill was also made, altering the Tariff Modality for the "White Tariff" to, along with the costs of the generating group, compose a possible annual expense to be compared to the amount spent in the current condition and be included in the financial analysis performed. In order to size and choose the most appropriate generator for the consumption at the times considered, local utility standards and automation systems for the security of supply were addressed throughout the present work. Finally, from the development of all these steps previously mentioned, it was possible to conclude that the project would be financially impracticable and to suggest alternatives that could make the project viable. | |
