Desempenho produtivo de coelhos alimentados com rama de mandioca (Manihot esculenta)

Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the productive performance of rabbits fed cassava foliage and evaluate the chemical composition of cassava foliage as an alternative source of food for growing rabbits. We used 12 New Zealand breed animals at 30 days old, which were divided into three treatments, and treatment received only one feed, the feed and treatment 2 and treatment 3 rami feed and dried cassava foliage. The experimental design was completely randomized, and the means were evaluated by Tukey test. There was no significant difference (P> 0.05) daily weight gain (g/day) and feed conversion between treatments with an average of 35.19, 34.50, 35.06 and 2.58, 2.90, 2.66, respectively.The dry matter intake did not differ between treatments with ramie and raw cassava that were superior to animals that received only diet. The cassava foliage can be used as a food source for rabbits without affecting their performance, and in its chemical composition 26.63% CP, 6.67% EE and 89,05% DM.
