dc.description.abstractThis work had as its theme the teaching methodology used in literature classes in high school. The reflections emerged from the lessons experienced a few years ago in high school and also the ongoing discussions of the experts on the gaps that exist between reader and the reading habit, especially the literary text. Through this study, we sought to learn and know the position and opinion of students regarding the importance of reading and literature in your life. And yet, through research student know what their desires and expectations for the lessons, the teaching of literature. Know the reality of teacher resources and strategies that it uses to make the lessons more meaningful and attractive. For this work readings of works by various authors subject matter experts who served as the theoretical framework were made. Already conducting field research, was only possible because of the cooperation of colleges, teachers and especially the students, without which the completion of the work as a whole would have no meaning.
