Análise da correlação entre a geração de resíduos da construção civil e as características das obras

Abstract

Good waste management on construction sites goes through a proper prognosis of waste generation. This prognosis is influenced by the works characteristics, as area, constructive method, number of employees, training level, etc. but how much is this influence is not very known. The objective of this study is to investigate the correlation between the amount of construction waste generated on construction sites and their constructive aspects/features. Through the research results it is possible to infer that even the same builder company, acting through different teams, presents significant differences in the management procedures (and waste generation, consequently) in their works. This is due mainly to the absence of effective waste management or standardization of procedures for waste management on construction sites.
