dc.description.abstract | The increasing congestion in large cities directly affect the punctuality of public transport. The uncertainty of arrival times, especially at peak times, creates uncertainty for users and can contribute to the migration from public transport to individual. It is believed that the intelligent transport systems represent a possible solution for performing public roads, contributing to the traffic flow in general. Currently, there is software to monitor the public transportation, however there are problems such as the use of proprietary technologies and the lack of resources accessible to final users. This project aims to develop an open source system for monitoring the public transportation and to the user, the projected arrival time for the chosen bus. | |
