dc.description.abstractIn our research we seek to evidence characteristics of Critical Mathematical Education are revealed in the dialogues of the students when they develop activities of Mathematical Modeling.Therefore, in the light of Critical Mathematical Education, we developed three Mathematical Modeling activities, with students in social vulnerability of a project developed by an ONG. For the planning of activities, in addition to the theoretical contribution of Mathematical Modeling in Mathematical Education and Critical Mathematics Education, we did a review of research literature dealing with Mathematical Modeling with Critical Mathematical Education, and thus we could also characterize our activities as belonging to a sociocritical perspective of Mathematical Modeling. From the dialogues of the students emerged aspects concerning the characteristics of Critical Mathematical Education that were systematized through Trees of Association of Ideas. Through such a methodology of qualitative research the students' ideas are intertwined, and make it possible to find evidence about the aspects concerning the characteristics of Critical Mathematical Education. Among the results, three aspects emerged from the dialogues: Social Impact, Reflection on the Future and Reflection on Habits.
