dc.description.abstractCladding welding was applied by the gaseous-coated tubular wire process in the flat position with conventional current. The base metal used was SAE 1020 steel and the addition metal was martensitic stainless steel 410 (CA6MN). Assays were performed by varying the welding parameters such as the frequency, the distance of the contact nip part and the welding speed in a constant current of 230 A pulsed. However, cord width and acceleration data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel software. Therefore, the cladding presented better performance for 20 Hz frequency, 30 mm contact tip to workpiece distance and 300 mm / min welding speed.
