dc.descriptionThe investigation is interested in the town of Baralt municipality, symbol of the nascent Venezuelan oil economy. From the twentieth century will be part of a historical fact that will change not only the locality and its margins but will serve as a pioneer of national economic development, laying the foundations for the foreign incursion into our territory in search of the precious black gold symbol of wealth, progress, development and conflicts that made our nation appetizing and longed for by any world power. The objective is to identify on one hand, the theoretical-methodological references that allow us to understand the urban and industrial growth of the municipality and visualize the new social and economic culture that is part of the daily life of the Baraltese people. On the other, assess the contributions of local history and orality as a tool of analysis that brings us closer to the historical-social reconstruction of Mene Grande and San Pedro.en-US
dc.descriptionLa investigación se interesa en el poblado del municipio Baralt símbolo de la naciente economía petrolera de Venezuela. A partir del siglo XX será parte de un hecho histórico que cambiará no solo la localidad y sus márgenes sino que fungirá como pionera del desarrollo económico nacional, sentando las bases para la incursión extranjera en nuestro territorio en busca del preciado oro negro símbolo de riqueza, progreso, desarrollo y conflictos que hacían nuestra nación apetecible y añorada por cualquier potencia mundial. El objetivo es identificar de una parte, los referentes teórico-metodológicos que nos permitan comprender el crecimiento urbanístico e industrial del municipio y visualizar la nueva cultura social y económica que forma parte de la cotidianidad del pueblo baraltense. De otra, valorar los aportes de la historia local y la oralidad como una herramienta de análisis que nos acerca a la reconstrucción histórica-social de Mene grande y de San Pedro.es-ES
