dc.descriptionThis paper identified, analyzed and interpreted some of the changes that the rites of the remains or second funerals Wayuu are in urban areas. Here the myths and stories of elders and cultural specialists has being compared whit the observed in the field work in the Guajira and Maracaibo city (2008-2015). The reading is done from the social and cultural anthropology transiting between two thematic areas: the religions and death. Ethnography, documentary review and hermeneutics were ways to approach this reality and interpretation It concludes that the restructuring of the rite in the urban environment is a mechanism of differentiation and reaffirmation of their identity.en-US
dc.descriptionEn el artículo se identifican, analizan e interpretan algunos de los cambios que los ritos de los restos o segundos velorios wayuu tienen en el medio urbano. Se compara los mitos y las narraciones de ancianos, de especialistas de la cultura y lo observado en la práctica de campo realizada en la Guajira y en Maracaibo (2008-2015). La lectura se hace desde la antropología social y cultural transitando entre dos áreas temáticas: las religiones y la de la muerte. La etnografía, la revisión documental y la hermenéutica fueron las vías para la aproximación e interpretación a esta realidad. Se concluye afirmando que la recomposición del ritoen el medio urbano es un mecanismo de reafirmación de su diferenciación de identidad.es-ES
