dc.descriptionExisten fuentes valiosas para metas de la formación de la conciencia ética y bioética, si bien se las conoce poco o nada en los ámbitos académicos. De hecho, son fuentes que casi no tienen mención en la literatura bioética estándar, lo que sugiere que aún falta mucha investigación en materia de historia de la bioética. En especial, la obra mitopoietica de Tolkien no ha recibido una atención debida, pese a la reciente versión cinematográfica de El Señor de los Anillos. Así, este artículo destaca los méritos de tal obra para las metas antedichas, sin exclusión del nivel superior para los ingenieros, científicos y médicos en agraz.
dc.descriptionThere are valuable sources for purposes of the development of ethical and bioethical conscience, although they are poorly known in the academic fields. In fact, these sources are almost not mentioned in the standard bioethical literature, which suggests that it lacks yet a lot of research in the matter of history of bioethics. Especially, Tolkien’s mythopoeia work has not received a proper attention, in spite of the recent films of The Lord of the Rings. Thus, this article highlights the merits of such work for the aforementioned goals, without exclusion of the higher education for future engineers, scientists and physicians.
