| dc.description | Las transformaciones urbanas relacionadas a procesos de gentrificación en ciudades latinoamericanas han sido abordadas desde distintas perspectivas teóricas para intentar explicar las causas del origen de dicho proceso. Una de esas perspectivas es la brecha de renta que persiguen los agentes inmobiliarios, quienes buscan obtener mayor renta potencial del suelo generando desplazamiento de población. A partir de información sobre proyectos inmobiliarios y mediante la aplicación de entrevistas semiestructuradas a población afectada por esta dinámica, se analizaron las consecuencias generadas en una colonia central en la Ciudad de México. | |
| dc.description | Urban transformations related to gentrification processes in Latin American cities have been approached from different theoretical perspectives to try to explain the causes of the origin of this process. One of these perspectives is the rent gap pursued by real estate agents, who seek to obtain greater potential income from the land, generating population displacement. Based on information on real estate projects and through the application of semi-structured interviews to the population affected by this dynamic, the consequences generated in a central neighborhood in Mexico City are analyzed. | |
