| dc.description | En el contexto del avance del modelo neoliberal y la reconfiguración espacial del mundo rural en México, entre la década de 1970 y la década de 1990 del siglo XX, dos acontecimientos transformaron el mercado tradicional de Ocotlán, Oaxaca. El primero, la disputa de límites territoriales entre el municipio de Ocotlán y el municipio de San Antonino Castillo Velasco. El segundo, la construcción de un sistema de drenaje para desalojar las aguas negras de Ocotlán. Dichos acontecimientos fracturaron al mercado tradicional de Ocotlán; permitiendo el enfrentamiento comunitario, el desalojo de los comerciantes de San Antonino del mercado de Ocotlán y la re-fundación del baratillo en tierras de San Antonino. Lo anterior llevó a nuevos conflictos por los usos y nuevas formas territoriales en espacio en los Valles Centrales de Oaxaca. De esta manera, el artículo examina como la construcción territorial esta signada, no sólo por las autoridades políticas, municipales o agrarias locales, sino por procesos históricos de larga data, en donde los símbolos y la pertenencia territorial hacen parte de la complejidad de la construcción territorial. | |
| dc.description | In the context of the advancement of the neoliberal model and the spatial reconfiguration of the rural world in Mexico, between the seventies and the nineties of the twentieth century, two events transformed the traditional market in Ocotlán. The first, the dispute over territorial limits between the municipality of Ocotlán and the municipality of San Antonino Castillo Velasco. The second, the construction of a drainage system during the 1970s to evacuate the sewage from Ocotlán. These events fractured the traditional Ocotlán market; allowed the community confrontation, the eviction of the merchants of San Antonino from the Ocotlán market and the re-foundation of the baratillo in San Antonino lands. This led to new conflicts over the uses and new territorial forms in space in the Central Valleys of Oaxaca. In this way, the article examines how territorial construction is marked, not only by local political, municipal or agrarian authorities, but by long-standing historical processes, where symbols, territorial ownership are part of the complexity of territorial construction. | |
