dc.descriptionPara Platón la ley es el fundamento de la organización social, y es justamente el carácter de la ley lo que él quiere establecer como requisito previo a la construc-ción de un modelo perfecto para una ciudad perfecta. Por ello, cuando propone el gobierno para los filósofos, propone también la necesidad de la formación de los filósofos en la ciencia de gobernar que no es otra que la filosofía. La idea de justi-cia que ha de convertirse en la idea rectora de la ciudad perfectamente organizada y gobernada tiene que ser buscada y encontrada por una persona de especiales dotes, el filósofo. Pero, el filósofo no es un producto casual o azaroso. Él es el resultado de una muy exigente y constante labor de educación, educación rigurosa y previa-mente programada, con miras a un resultado que es precisamente el modelado del hombre más capaz de gobernar a sus conciudadanos.
dc.descriptionFor Plato, the law is the foundation of social organization, and it is precisely the character of the law what he wants to establish as a prerequisite to the building of the perfect model for the perfect city. Therefore, when he proposes the philoso-phers to rule, he also proposes the education of philosophers by the science of ruling as needed through philosophy. The idea of justice as the guiding idea of the perfectly organized and governed city must be sought and found by a person with special gifts, the philosopher. But, the philosopher is not a casual or random pro-duct. He is the result of a very demanding and constant work of education, as a rigorous and previously programmed education, with a view to an outcome which is precisely the modeling of the man most capable of ruling his fellow citizens.
