dc.descriptionEl presente artículo tiene como objetivo describir la promoción de la lectura que realizan los docentes con los niños y niñas de Educación Primaria en la zona rural del Municipio Trujillo del Estado Trujillo. Es una investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva de campo, se realizó con treinta (30) docentes en el año escolar 2015-2016. Se aplicó una entrevista semi-estructurada y tres observaciones simples. Entre los resultados encontramos: el docente asume la lectura como una actividad para desarrollarla dentro de la escuela, como parte de la tarea escolar. Se promociona la lectura con mayor efectividad en 1er, 2do y 3er grado de Educación Primaria. El docente motiva a los niños propiciando el contacto con el material de lectura, realzando las experiencias de los niños al leer. El material que mayormente utilizan es: lecturas recreativas, la Colección Bicentenario y el libro de lectura. La promoción de la lectura se limita a verla como una actividad que desarrollan según el propósito establecido en el programa curricular.
dc.descriptionThe present article aims to describe the promotion of reading that teachers do with children of Primary Education in the rural area of Trujillo Municipality of Trujillo State. It is a quantitative, descriptive field research, carried out with thirty (30) teachers in the school year 2015-2016. A semi-structured interview and three simple observations were applied. Among the results we find: the teacher assumes reading as an activity to develop it within the school, as part of the school task. Reading is promoted with greater effectiveness in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade of Primary Education. The teacher motivates the children by making contact with the reading material, enhancing children’s experiences in reading. The material they use most is recreational readings, the Bicentennial Collection and the reading book. The promotion of reading is limited to seeing it as an activity they develop according to the purpose established in the curriculum.
