| dc.description | En este artículo, sostenemos que es posible y valioso pensar en la sororidad desde una perspectiva interseccional. Primero, haremos una breve revisión de la historia de la sororidad como concepto feminista. En segundo lugar, analizamos el trabajo de Crenshaw sobre la interseccionalidad y estudiaremos las críticas hechas al feminismo de la segunda ola y, en particular, al concepto de sororidad. Posteriormente, abordaremos el trabajo de Marcela Lagarde. Habiendo hecho lo anterior, revisaremos nuestras propias experiencias de sororidad. Finalmente, reforzaremos el argumento principal de este artículo: no sólo vale la pena, sino que es una necesidad mirar a la sororidad desde una lente interseccional. | |
| dc.description | In this article, we argue that it is possible and valuable to think about sisterhood from an intersectional perspective. First, we will briefly review the history of sisterhood as a feminist concept. Second, we review Crenshaw’s work on intersectionality and study the critiques made of second wave feminism and, in particular, the concept of sisterhood. Later, we will address the work of Marcela Lagarde. Having done the above, we will review our own sorority experiences. Finally, we will reinforce the main argument of this article: not only is it worthwhile, but it is a necessity to look at sorority through an intersectional lens. | |
