| dc.description | Las relaciones Venezuela – China datan de 1943. Desde entonces, y hasta 1974, situamos la primera etapa de diálogos con China continental, que luego tendrá su epicentro en Taiwán dado el triunfo de la revolución comunista y el traslado “provisional” del gobierno nacionalista a Taipéi (1949). Con el ingreso de la República Popular China a la ONU (1971), así como su acercamiento a los EEUU, la mayoría de países latinoamericanos rompieron con Taiwán y normalizaron sus relaciones con Pekín. En el caso venezolano, esto ocurrió el 28 de junio de 1974; así, nuestro objetivo en este artículo es analizar esta segunda etapa de las relaciones sino-venezolanas. | |
| dc.description | Venezuela - China relations date from 1943. Since then until 1974, we place the first stage of dialogues with mainland China, which will then have its epicenter in Taiwan given the triumph of the communist revolution and the "provisional" transfer of the nationalist government to Taipei (1949). With the entry of the People's Republic of China to the UN (1971), as well as its rapprochement with the US, most Latin American countries broke with Taiwan and normalized their relations with Beijing. In the Venezuelan case, it happened on June 28, 1974; thus, our objective is to analyze this second stage of Sino-Venezuelan relations. | |
