| dc.description | From the perspective of the solitary women head of household, a structural analysis of these family groups and the structuring of the meanings related to its social reality are presented. We start by presenting a brief theoretical review of the problems of lower-income Venezuelan families, highlighting as a definitive characteristic, the fundamental role played by the mother and maternal kin in the internal relationships of the family group. Finally, the manner in which women construct self-images which are associated with their three fundamental roles: woman-mother, woman-family and woman-mate, is discussed. | en-US |
| dc.description | Desde la óptica de la mujer sola, jefe de hogar, se presenta un análisis de la estructura de estos grupos familiares y de la estructuración de los significados relacionados con su realidad social. Para ello, se parte de presentar una breve revisión teórica acerca de la problemática de la familia popular venezolana, destacándose como rasgo definitorio el rol fundamental que juega la madre y la parentela materna al interior del grupo familiar. Por último, se señala cómo la mujer construye una imagen de sí misma que esta asociada a tres roles fundamentales: mujer-madre, mujer-familia y mujer-pareja. | es-ES |
