| dc.description | With the aim of determining the features of domestic violence during pregnancy in women admitted to the Obstetrics Service of the Hospital Central Universitario Dr. Antonio María Pineda during the month of February 2019, a transversal descriptive study was carried out with a sample of 150 patients obtaining a frequency of domestic violence of 17.3%. 73% of patients had ages between 16-25 years old, from urban background (92.3%), single (76.9%), with high school level of education (69.2%), housewife (100%) with no income (100%). The type of domestic violence was mainly psychological (80.7%), followed by physical (69.2%) and sexual (34.6%). The main aggressor was the husband or partner (92.3%) being the moment of the aggression frequently at the beginning of the pregnancy (88.4%). The practices assumed in the face of domestic violence showed that 100% of the women interviewed did not seek family or health personnel support and did not report the incident. In addition, 100% said they did not need medical or psychological attention. As a result, there is a high percentage of women victims of domestic violence that don’t report or seek medical o psychological attention. Therefore, it’s important to create domestic violence awareness in the pregnant women and expose the reality of this problem to face this alarming situation. | en-US |
| dc.description | Con el objetivo de determinar las características de la violencia doméstica durante el embarazo en mujeres que ingresaron al Servicio de Obstetricia del Hospital Central Universitario Dr. Antonio María Pineda, durante el mes de febrero 2019, se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal con una muestra de 150 pacientes obteniendo una frecuencia de violencia doméstica del 17,3%. El 73% de las pacientes presentaron edades entre 16-25 años, de procedencia urbana (92,3%), solteras (76,9%), con nivel de escolaridad secundaria (69,2%), oficios del hogar (100%) y sin ingreso económico (100%). El tipo de violencia doméstica fue principalmente psicológica (80,7%), seguido de física (69,2%) y sexual (34,6%). El principal agresor fue el esposo o pareja (92,3%), siendo el momento de la agresión al inicio del embarazo (88,4%). Las prácticas asumidas ante la violencia doméstica mostraron que 100% de las mujeres entrevistadas no buscó apoyo familiar, ni del personal de salud y tampoco realizaron las denuncias de los hechos. Además, 100% señalaron no necesitar atención médica ni psicológica como consecuencia de la violencia doméstica durante el embarazo. En consecuencia, existe un porcentaje elevado de mujeres víctimas de la violencia doméstica durante el embarazo quienes no denuncian los hechos ni buscan atención médica o psicológica. Es importante concientizar a la gestante sobre la gravedad de la violencia doméstica y exponer la realidad de esta problemática para enfrentar esta alarmante situación. | es-ES |
