dc.descriptionIn the history of Venezuela there are many characters whose performance is unknown, despite the important contributions made during his life in favor of society. Aquilino Juares, from Cabudare, is one of these characters of the 19th century, who from the military field, and especially from the civilian; contributed to the enlargement and progress of the Lara state. From the position of President of this state (18941898),he carried out an outstanding work in support of the educational and cultural field, which we intend to address in this work.en-US
dc.descriptionEn la historia de Venezuela hay muchos personajes cuya actuación es desconocida, a pesar de los importantes aportes hechos durante su vida en pro de la sociedad. El cabudareño Aquilino Juares, es uno de ellos y en el siglo XIX, desde el campo militar, y muy especialmente desde el civil, contribuyó al progreso del estado Lara, según los cánones de la corriente liberal y el positivismo de su época. Desde el cargo de Presidente de este estado (18941898), a pesar del contexto de guerras que vivió el país en esa centruria, Juares realizó una destacada labor en apoyo al campo educativo y cultural, aporte que pretendemos abordar en el presente trabajo.es-ES
