dc.descriptionResumen.Este artigo aborda as principais interpretações e formulações do economista sueco Gunnar Myrdal e do sociólogo brasileiro Ruy Mauro Marini a respeito do subdesenvolvimento e da teoria marxista da dependência, respectivamente, e suas contribuições sobre a relação Centro-Periferia. Nesse debate, destacamos os conceitos de Causação- Circular e Intercâmbio Desigual, entre outros que compõe o quadro teórico exposto no desenvolvimento do trabalho. Entendendo suas contribuições como alternativas ao eixo teórico hegemônico para as ciências sociais e econômicas, ao seu próprio tempo e lugar, buscamos delinear os aspectos em que as abordagens desses autores convergem e divergem entre si. Dentre os pontos convergentes entre os dois teóricos, citam-se a dinâmica espacial do desenvolvimento desigual como referência de análise, à rejeição aos pressupostos da teoria neoclássica com a tendência de estabilização automática do sistema socioeconômico. Entretanto, Myrdal respalda sua análise a uma abordagem sistêmica, com plano de desenvolvimento integrado, com ênfase de raízes institucionalista para responder aos desafios para as regiões subdesenvolvidas. Marini, por sua vez, enfatiza a exploração da força de trabalho nos países subdesenvolvidos e o processo revolucionário como única via para superar o subdesenvolvimento.AbstractThis article deals with the main interpretations and formulations of the Swedish economist Gunnar Myrdal and the Brazilian sociologist Ruy Mauro Marini on underdevelopment and the Marxist theory of dependence, respectively, on underdevelopment and the Marxist theory of dependence, respectively, on underdevelopment and the Marxist theory of dependence, respectively,and their contributions on the Centre-Periphery relation inscribed in the critique of the orthodox perspective of world economy. In this debate, we highlight the concepts of Circular Causalism and Unequal Interchange, as well as other concepts of the theoretical framework exposed in the development of the work. Understanding their contributions as alternative to the hegemonic theoretical axis for the social and economic sciences, in their own time and place, we seek to delineate the aspects in which the approaches of these authors converge and diverge among themselves. Among the converging points between the two theorists, the spatial dynamics of unequal development are cited as a reference for analysis, the rejection of the assumptions of neoclassical theory with the tendency of automatic stabilization of the socioeconomic system. However, Myrdal supports his analysis with a systemic approach, with an integrated development plan, with an emphasis on institutionalist roots to respond to the challenges for underdeveloped regions. Marini, in turn, emphasizes the exploitation of the labor force in underdeveloped countries and the revolutionary process as the only way to overcome underdevelopment.es-ES
