| dc.description | Late Neoplatonic metaphysics is considered a complex structure of articulated levels that break the simplicity of plotinian philosophy. Such complexity appears completely detached from the vital concerns as if thought were confronted with the end of the human life. However, it can be said that neoplatonic metaphysics requires to be lived and interiorized. Plotinus had already pointed out that the three superior levels of what is real are also present in us, leading life towards the likeliness with the divine. In certain respects, this holds true for Proclus but with clear modifications. This paper deals with this relationship by analyzing a passage of Commentary on the Alcibiades (24,10-27,12). In this text, Proclus highlights the value of the invocation towards the real Father of the souls, which is no other than the divine and intelligible Beauty, in order to obtain salvation. | en-US |
| dc.description | Se considera que la metafísica del neoplatonismo tardío es una estructura compleja de niveles articulados que rompe la simplicidad de la filosofía plotiniana. Tal complejidad pareciera totalmente alejada de las preocupaciones vitales como si el pensamiento estuviera reñido con el fin de la vida humana. Sin embargo, la metafísica neoplatónica demanda ser vivida e interiorizada. Plotino ya señalaba que los tres niveles superiores de lo real también están en nosotros, lo que orienta la vida hacia la semejanza con lo divino. De cierto modo esto pervive en Proclo, aunque con claras modificaciones. En este artículo se intentará mostrar esta relación analizando un pasaje del Comentario al Alcibíades (24,10-27,12) donde el Licio pone de relieve el valor de la invocación hacia el Padre verdadero de las almas, que no es más que la Belleza divina e Inteligible, para obtener la salvación. | es-ES |
