dc.descriptionIn order to answer this question one must discuss the place of politics in the social whole and its relationships with other aspects of reality. While maintining the autonomy of political decisions with regard to economic constraints the author shows how and why political history has lost its prestige and is nowadays bound to recover it, with the contribution of new experiences. It is not a question of claiming hegemony for political history, as history of politics can only be made if politics are inscribed in a general framework.en-US
dc.descriptionPara responder a esta questão é necessário discutir o lugar da política no todo social e suas relações com outros aspectos da realidade. Embora defendendo a autonomia das decisões políticas em relação a constrangimentos econômicos, o autor mostra como e porque a história política perdeu muito do seu prestígio e está, hoje, em vias de recuperá-lo, enriquecida por novas experiências. Não se trata portanto de reivindicar a hegemonia do político: só se pode ser historiador da política se tem a preocupação de inscrevê-la em uma visão global.pt-BR
