dc.descriptionThe objective of this paper is to analyze the use of satellite tracking systems by trucking companies in Sao Paulo City, Brazil, considering their growing importance to the transport sector. Multivariate analysis is used to explain the simultaneous relations among the variables. As the data are qualitative, correspondence analysis is used to indicate the existence of well defined groups. Subsequently, companies with similar behavior concerning the use of tracking systems are classified through cluster analysisen-US
dc.descriptionObjetivou-se analisar o uso dos sistemas de rastreamento por satelite no transporte rodiviario de cargas na cidade de Sao Paulo em função de sua crescente importancia no setor de transporte. Para explicar as relações simultaneas entre as variaveis, foi escolhida a analise multivariada. Como os dados eram qualitativos, a analise de correspondencia indicou a existencia de grupos bem definidos. Posteriormente, foi utilizada a analise de conglomerados para classificar as empresas que apresentavam comportamentos semelhantes quanto ao uso dos sistemas de rastreamentopt-BR
