dc.descriptionCentral ossifying fibroma (cementifying fibroma / fibroma cementum ossificans FO) is a benign tumor characterized by manifesting itself in the mandible, rarely in the maxilla and that commonly affects females between the third and fourth decade of life. Most injuries typically show a slow progression that in turn can become extensive. Surgical resection is the treatment of choice. Its recurrences are infrequent. The objective is to present a clinical case of central fibroma with its physical and psychological repercussions, showing the clinical experience achieved with the use of a modified flap, as well as the therapy to be followed for the resolution of these cases, with which an excellent postoperative evolution.  en-US
dc.descriptionEl fibroma osificante central (fibroma cementificante/fibroma cemento osificante FO), es un tumor benigno caracterizado por manifestarse en mandíbula, en escasas ocasiones en maxilar y que comúnmente afecta al sexo femenino entre la tercera y cuarta década de vida. La mayoría de las lesiones típicamente muestran una evolución lenta que a su vez puede llegar a ser extensa. La resección quirúrgica es el tratamiento de elección. Su recurrencia es infrecuente. El objetivo es presentar un caso clínico de fibroma central con sus repercusiones físicas, mostrando la experiencia clínica alcanzada con el uso de un colgajo modificado, así como la terapéutica a seguir para la resolución de dichos casos, con lo que se logró una excelente evolución postoperatoria.es-ES
