Static mortality tables underestimate the life expectancy of individuals when used over extended periods of time, since they do not take into account the gradual decrease in mortality due to improvements in living conditions. In light of this, we propose pivot tables that take into account the effect of chronological time on mortality. Our research presents the Lee-Carter model for the construction of pivot mortality tables and the projection for the ecuadorian population. Population death data corresponding to the 1990-2016.es-ES
