dc.description.abstractThe present study has been designed to determine the median age at menopause in women resident in Lima, the capital of the Republic of Peru, an urban place located at sea level, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean in South America. The factors influencing the age at menopause have also been assessed. Women were randomly interviewed at home. In the sample, there were included pre-menopausal, natural post-menopausal, and surgical post-menopausal women.
