| dc.description | El presente trabajo de tesis está enfocado a la obtención de algoritmos matemáticos capaces de describir cuantitativamente el desempeño de reactores electroquímicos, considerando la influencia de las variables geométricas, cinéticas y fisicoquímicas, así como la presencia de corrientes parásitas. El reactor está conectado eléctricamente en configuración bipolar, con flujos de electrolito y de corriente en ángulo recto (“flow-by”). Los modelos matemáticos son verificados contrastando los resultados experimentales, obtenidos a partir de reactores construidos en el laboratorio, con los datos teóricos provistos por las simulaciones numéricas. | |
| dc.description | This thesis is focused on obtaining mathematical algorithms capable of describing quantitatively the performance of electrochemical reactors, considering the influence of the geometric , kinetic and physicochemical variables as well as the presence of by-pass currents. The reactor is electrically connected in bipolar configuration with electrolyte and current flows at right angles ("flow-by"). The mathematical models are verified against experimental results obtained from reactors built in the laboratory, with the theoretical data provided by numerical simulations | |
