Apoyo familiar y autoestima en los adultos mayores del Distrito de Pacanga

Abstract

La presente investigación de enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo correlacional; tuvo como finalidad determinar la relación entre el apoyo familiar y la autoestima en los adultos mayores de la Casa del Adulto Mayor del Distrito de Pacanga. El universo, constituido por 45 asistentes, quienes cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión establecidos. Para la recolección de datos se emplearon dos instrumentos: Grado de Apoyo Familiar y Nivel de Autoestima de los adultos mayores. El análisis estadístico se realizó mediante el programa SPSS por Windows versión 22 empleando la prueba estadística de Rho de Spearman. Cuyos resultados fueron, en relación al nivel de autoestima alta, que un 51% cuenta con un alto grado de apoyo familiar; a su vez en el mismo nivel de autoestima, un 4% cuenta con un grado moderado de apoyo familiar. Mientras que relación al nivel de autoestima medio, el 36% cuenta con un moderado grado de apoyo familiar y finalmente en cuanto al nivel de autoestima baja hay un 9% de adultos mayores que cuentan con un bajo grado de apoyo familiar. Los resultados, indican que la correlación entre las variables de estudio es de un valor de 0.938 (Se encontró una correlación fuerte),

The present quantitative approach research, descriptive correlational. It was developed with the purpose of determining the relationship between family support and self-esteem in the Senior Adult of The House of the Elderly of the District of Pacanga. The universe, made up of 45 attendees, who met the established inclusion criteria. For data collection, two instruments were used: Degree of Family Support and Level of Self-esteem in older adults. Statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS program for Windows version 22 using Spearman's Rho statistical test. Whose results were, in relation to the level of high self-esteem, that 51% have a high degree of family support; in turn, at the same level of self-esteem, 4% have a moderate degree of family support. While in relation to the average level of self-esteem, 36% have a moderate degree of family support and finally, regarding the level of low self-esteem, there are 9% of older adults who have a low degree of family support.
