Perfil clínico y epidemiológico de los glaucomas secundarios de ángulo abierto en el Instituto Regional de Oftalmología J.S.U

Abstract

El proyecto tiene como finalidad describir los aspectos clínico-epidemiológicos que caracterizarán a los pacientes con diagnóstico de glaucoma secundario de ángulo abierto, que acudieron a la consulta del servicio de glaucoma del Instituto Regional de Oftalmología (IRO) “Javier Servat Univazo” en el periodo de enero 2010 a enero 2020. Para la cual se revisarán las historias de los pacientes con diagnóstico de glaucoma secundario de ángulo abierto, realizado por el médico especialista del servicio de Glaucoma, y que cumplan con los criterios de selección, se realizará el llenado correcto de las fichas de recolección de datos (Anexo 1), las fichas serán anónimas, siendo codificadas para su identificación a fin de proteger la identidad de los participantes. Los datos obtenidos serán ingresados a una base de datos del paquete estadístico SPSS versión 25.0. Para las variables cualitativas, se determinará la distribución de frecuencias, presentando los datos en tablas de una o doble entrada o gráficos de sectores y de barras. Para las variables cuantitativas, se determinarán medidas de tendencia central, como la media y la moda; así mismo, medidas de dispersión como desviación estándar y varianza.

The purpose of the project is to describe the clinical-epidemiological aspects that will characterize patients with a diagnosis of secondary open-angle glaucoma, who attended the consultation of the glaucoma service of the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (IRO) "Javier Servat Univazo" in the period from January 2010 to January 2020. For which the histories of patients with a diagnosis of secondary open-angle glaucoma will be reviewed, performed by the specialist doctor of the Glaucoma service, and who meet the selection criteria, the correct filling will be carried out of the data collection sheets (Annex 1), the sheets will be anonymous, being coded for their identification in order to protect the identity of the participants. The data obtained will be entered into a database of the SPSS version 25.0 statistical package. For qualitative variables, the frequency distribution will be determined, presenting the data in single or double entry tables or pie and bar graphs. For quantitative variables, measures of central tendency will be determined, such as the mean and the mode; likewise, dispersion measures such as standard deviation and variance.
