dc.description.abstractObjective: Establish the association between Obesity and Flattened Plantar Footprint in children 6 to 12 years. Material and methods: Descriptive transversal study that evaluated children 6 to 12 years of IE "Generalísimo José de San Martín", during 2015. Were classified in children with obesity and without obesity, according to the tables of BMI for age of WHO, and classified in children with flattened plantar footprint and without flattened plantar footprint, according to the method Hernandez-Corvo. Results:It was found that 42.11% of obese children had flattened plantar footprint, alsoa X2 of 4.27 (with a confidence level of 95%, α = 0.05) and an OR of 2.11 (CI 1.03 4.33), indicating a significant association. Conclusion:There is anstatistically significant association between Obesity and Flattened Plantar Footprint, according to the method Hernandez-Corvo, in children 6 to 12 years of IE "Generalísimo José de San Martín" during 2015.
