dc.descriptionEl objetivo de este trabajo fue identificar las motivaciones para la inserción laboral de las personas adultas mayores, permitiendo vislumbrar los retos para mejorar su calidad de vida. Se utilizó una metodología de tipo cualitativa con exploración hermenéutica y una alcance descriptivo y enfoque no experimental. Se usaron entrevistas semiestructuradas a una muestra incidental de 39 adultos mayores empacadores en un supermercado en Guanajuato, México. Los resultados apuntan hacia la inserción laboral de esta población por motivos económicos (subsistencia); y también por sentirse activos, productivos y parte de una sociedad, evitando la marginalidad, lo cual se asocia con el envejecimiento activo. es-ES
dc.description  The aim of this work was to identify the motivations for the labor insertion of older people, which allows us to glimpse the challenges to improve their quality of life. The methodology is qualitative with hermeneutical exploration. It has a descriptive scope and a non-experimental approach. Semi-structured interviews were used with an incidental sample of thirty-nine elderly packers in a supermarket in Guanajuato, Mexico. The results point towards the labor insertion of this population for economic reasons (subsistence); and because they feel active, productive, and part of a society, avoiding marginality, which is associated with active aging.    en-US
