dc.description.abstractBased on the seismic events presented in Ecuador on April 16, 2016 of 7.8MW, the competent authorities focused their attention on the control and improvement of the standards together with the construction techniques used, in order to delimit the structural pathologies presented in constructions in the country. Starting from the failures produced by symmetrical activities and their incidence, the present work is aimed at implementing rehabilitation strategies in houses of up to two floors constituted by structural systems of resistant porticos at the moment, with data taken in the field of a type housing marketed in Machala , with which the dynamic response is analyzed, as a complement to the project, it is decided to work with the inelastic design spectrum to better appreciate the results and as the NEC_SE_VIVIENDA_ only basal shear values are corrected. Subsequently, an evaluation of the damages presented in the model housing is continued, to conclude with rehabilitation of central beams which suffer from flexion, with defined bases and objective levels of rehabilitation as indicated by the NEC_SE_RE, it is concluded by rehabilitating through the implementation of polymer sheets reinforced with carbon fibers applied according to the EBROG method.
