dc.description.abstract | Within the structural design there are several methods to generate structures that adjust a functional correction to an eventual earthquake, which is why in the present analysis to be developed, it was based on an established design that consisted of a structure with isolation devices, which it generates that the structure is not in direct contact with the ground and in this way obtains the necessary flexibility which allows to obtain the natural period of the isolated structure. The insulators significantly reduce the stiffness required in the entire structural system since these devices dissipate energy in the presence of a seismic event; therefore, they need to be used in structures such as hospitals because they consider higher seismic loads allowing these types of structures to obtain the least possible damage. Given the benefits presented by the insulators in a building, it was considered to deprive the structure of the seismic insulators and consider it as if it were in direct contact with the ground in order to determine the effects produced by an uninsulated structure starting from the Design methodology indicated by the NEC and the AISC in order to meet the minimum requirements of the design philosophy. In addition, the elements of the local buckling will be checked and then 3D modeling will be carried out with the help of a structural program, which will allow the determination of the relevant values according to the seismic-resistant design philosophy. | |
