The main objective of this project is to determine or know the type of soil found around the traffic distributor of the Bella India sector of the province of El Oro, it should be noted that during this time the weather conditions were not favorable in the moment of the extraction of those samples. To obtain the samples, they were classified by test pits, that is, pits were extracted from the surface of 0-5 cm, 50 cm, 1 m and 1.5 m in four different points, the soil found in the fields was manually excavated. near the Bella India traffic distribution sector, that extraction lasted from Monday, May 14, 2018 to Thursday, May 17, 2018, those samples are taken immediately to the laboratory, to obtain the percentage of moisture contained in the laboratory. each soil in its natural state, proceeding then to carry out the other corresponding tests with the appropriate instruments and procedures. By means of the corresponding tests the soil characteristics were determined with the appropriate procedures, where data were obtained that will help us to classify the soil in this case by means of the AASHTO methodology, these data are taken to then proceed to the respective corresponding calculations , where it is worth mentioning that only four pits represented by each different point of the sector with a depth of 1 m each were tested, achieving the identification of each soil sample from its mechanical characteristics.
