dc.description.abstractThe contemporary society of today is directed towards the development of mechanisms and technologies that reverse the effects of pollution and adverse consequences of consumerism, being the cities hot spots, emission of gases and generation of waste as a result of consumerism; civil engineering as a science focused on solving environmental problems through technical projects and integrity in an interdisciplinary way, which is used to analyze the problem of inadequate management of solid waste in the canton Passage, which added to a lack of culture and citizen participation causes discomfort to the sector, inconveniences to human health and the ecosystem and inferences addressed from the solid waste treatment chair. The problem is studied from a pragmatic perspective, of an exploratory nature using the survey as a field research instrument to combine the compiled criteria, through a literary review in order to design a management plan for generation, collection, handling and evacuation of waste in Passage, strategically delineating its components to be proposed to the municipality with the due social responsibility of the population analyzed.
