Communication has been part of the global evolution of humanity, so it is currently studied and developed in the modern field because of the cyberculture that is embodied in societies. In the 21st century, stages produced in modern communication have been taken over and this is addressed a priori to the rise of the internet. This work focuses on the study of the theoretical bases carried out by researchers in the modern issues of the present century, such as communication and cyberculture. The most influential theoretical contributions were analyzed by the respective selected researchers, which include mainly Henry Jenkins and Carlos Scolari and other researchers who direct their work to the study of modern technologies, fulfilling the referential bases to the process of coding the research line for the communication of the XXI Century. The purpose of this research work is to identify the theoretical proposals on communication developed so far in the XXI Century, in order to describe the most relevant contributions to modern communication. For this it was optimal to develop a line of research between communication and cyberculture, which a priori gave us results the theoretical processes encompassed at the high level of the use of the Internet in society, thus identifying the most influential authors and works in the communication so far in the XXI Century. The methodology applied in this project coexisted in a qualitative approach, directed to the technique of documentary analysis.
