Background: Breastfeeding is an essential factor in the overall development of the newborn. The interruption of the breastfeeding process may be influenced by biopsychosocial and religious factors not reaching the goals established by the National Plan for Good Living 2013-2017. Objective: To determine the biopsychosocial and religious factors of a group of Muslim women that influence breastfeeding. Methodology: Cross-sectional descriptive quantitative study through the application of assisted surveys to 60 Muslim mothers of the Khalid Ibnel-Waleed Mosque. The information obtained was processed through the Microsoft Word programs and the SPSS version 22 database in Spanish for Windows. Results: The population of Muslim women is between 30-39 years old, a large part are married, half of the women surveyed have completed high school and are working, while a small percentage of Muslim women have up to two children. Its diet is composed of proteins, vitamins and minerals that contribute macronutrients to breast milk. The low milk production is a frequent complication, however, 66.7% maintain breastfeeding until two years without any interference related to Muslim religious practices. Conclusions: The support of the family and the Muslim community together with the health promotion provided by the nurses contribute to breastfeeding up to two years without preside to the religious activities to which they belong
