dc.description.abstractIn the present job, it was performed the extrusion capacity calculation of SM-35 extruder machine in Continental Tire Andina S.A. It was made with the purpose of know if with the installed capacity is factible the fulfilment of sidewall production of radial construction. This project has 4 chapters that are detailed below. The first chapter talks about general background of Continental Tire Andina S.A., such as the tires production process, description of extrusion process and the extruder machine. The second chapter contains definitions about method studies, and describes the standard method of sidewalls extrusion, with the help of diagrams and procedures. Also, in this chapter it was performed a general analysis of the workplace such as risk identification, and finally, it was given some solutions and recommendations for the identified factors. The third chapter defines the concepts and methods related to the take times. Here it develops the respective studies and the take of the times of the extrusion process (Set Up) to get the standard times. Finally, in the fourth chapter it shows the definitions and the calculations of theoretical capacity and real capacity of extruder SM-35 machine.
