dc.description.abstractThis research paper describes the levels of exhaustion, or burnout syndrome, in High School teachers of the city of Cuenca; as well as the three dimensions that make up the Burnout syndrome so that it can identified.Finally, the paper aims at understanding the factors and consequences that this syndrome causes to educational professionals. A technical surveywhich included the 1986 Cristina Maslachand Jackson questionnaire was applied in the field research. This tool was analyzed and modified according to the needs and realities of high school teachers. Additionally, some key points that are important to identify factors that are evident on teachers who presented burnout syndrome were analyzed. Through this research, it was determined that 59.45% of teachers have a high level of exhaustion, without ruling out that 40.54% of teachers have an average level of exhaustion.
