In the present project, the study of adsorption of two drugs, Ciprofloxacin and Sulfamethoxazole in aqueous solutions, was carried out using laboratory bed columns, the biosorbents used were sugarcane bagasse and corn cob residues. In adsorption tests with cane bagasse, parameters such as feed flow at the entrance of the column, bed height in the columns and initial concentration of the drug in the solutions were studied, for which constant parameters such as temperature and pH were maintained. Through the construction of the rupture curves of each drug, the effects of each parameter were studied. It was found that the feed rate, bed height and initial concentration have an influence on the time at which the breakpoint of the curve is presented as well as the saturation point of the curve. Subsequently, it was sought to replicate the fixed bed adsorption process in a column with a diameter greater than a laboratory scale (scaling), for such replication, parameters such as geometric similarity will be taken into account by maintaining constant the relationship between height and diameter, physical properties of the Bed and similarity Kinematics and Dynamics of the fluid, where similar results are obtained between both columns. The rupture curve was adjusted to different mathematical models, the adsorption of Ciprofloxacin and Sulfamethoxazole on the sugarcane bagasse had a good fit with the Yoon-Nelson model. The study of the variation of the parameters shows that the modified feed rate increases the breaking point, the bed height increases the breaking point increases and the modified concentration the breaking point increases. The results indicate that the adsorption process of the drug Ciprofloxacin is best adsorbed in corncob, having an adsorption capacity for cane bagasse of 0.727 mg / g and for corncob of 1,245 mg / g. The drug Sulfamethoxazole is best adsorbed in Cane Bagasse, the adsorption capacity for Corncob was 0.004 mg / g and for Cane Bagasse 0.019 mg / g.
