The literary character, central element of a fiction, has several dimensions in which the narrators usually develop widely its dramatic actions and poorly its description. In this sense, the prosopography turns obscure and diffuse, to the point where the reader doesn’t even notice its existence. Neither the literary theory has given special attention to the analysis of physical characterization as a key element of the fiction. But what is that body and how it’s built? The present research aims to analyze the body description (prosopography) of the character in five stories of La bondad de los extraños (2014), the last book of Ecuadorian narrator Solange Rodríguez (1974), where the presence of the anatomic body plays a particular role. This physicality occurs in the context of a writing marked by certain styles of the American marvelous realism, not exempt from realistic turns and even from science fiction, result of the contemporary tendency to mix narrative types and genres.
