In this investigative work, we summarize the technical and theoretical bases involved in a Spectral Modal Analysis in 3 Dimensions. In a subtle and didactic way, we connect linear algebra, resistant materials, structural dynamic and seismic design concepts, using definitions and examples for a better understanding. The work explain the modal coordinates origin and their implications, connecting it with algebraic concepts such as change of coordinates and bases. The main theme of this work is the Spectral Modal Analysis in 3 Dimensions of a simple structure, we detail the process and using SAP2000, the answer is validated.
