dc.description.abstract | School violence is defined as a form of psychological, physical, social, parental, technological abuse and victimization and intimidation among students, which occurs permanently, increasing its intensity and diversifying its manifestations. The constant presence of this type of violence motivated conducting this investigation, which was carried out from a quantitative approach to descriptive level. The purpose was to determine the behaviors of bullying, developed in the BenignoMalo Education Unit, attended by 234 students, the questionnaire on bullying and abuse peer was applied in educational institutions EGB in city of Cuenca. A 61.6% reported verbal abuse, 25.6% do not know how violent behaviors are manifested, 4.3% mentioned physical abuse. As for those who bother, the answer was a representative group of students, with 24.8%. 33.6% of students reported predisposed to violence, if the cause; however, they represented a potential aggressors 38.5. The incidence of harassment at the level of victims and potential victims was 25.20% with 2.1% of potential victims. On the causes of bullying from the perspective of the aggressor, 25% replied that they did "because they were provoked." Finally, 38.4% did not communicate with anyone when situations of bullying, 31.3% shared with his family. With this background it is necessary to establish prevention programs that enable intervene favorably to this problem. | |
