dc.description.abstractThe following investigative work describes, analyses and revalues musical-ethnic elements from Salasaka Cosmovision with the masterpiece titled “Suite Sinfónica Ecuatoriana”. The first four chapters are related to Salasaka culture, origins, religion, language and its dialect (Quichua), main festivities, rythms in ceremonies and their daily life; it also includes Southamerican and Ecuadorian Nationalists composers work, together with two of Ecuadorian ethnic Suites composed by Segundo Luis Moreno and Floresmilo Viteri. In conclusion, the autor presents the investigation result titled “Suite Sinfónica Ecuatoriana en Gm para Orquesta y Coro”, this is the final objective of investigation. It is a work in five movements combining the vision of the man form the Andes among mystical mountains and traditional rythms used in lively festivities, characteristic of the town of Salasaka. A Quichua language literary text with Salasaka dialect is included, it explains the Pachamama Inca History, deity present in every spiritual activity in the indigenous town of Salasaka. This investigation contributes the symphonic orchestral repertoire of the nation, which the author suggests to be constantly expanded through systematic processes incorporating several cultural, artistic and musical elements from ethnic groups of our country, this research considered them as its major.
