dc.description.abstractThis paper is based on an analysis of the family structure of the students of basic medium and its influence on school violence, detected in the Sor María de Santo Tomás Alvarado school, Chordeleg canton during the academic year 2014-2015. This analysis seeks to determine whether the family structure influences of the girls school violence in order to work with the educational community, in matters of prevention and intervention, favoring the development of values and social skills that will allow you to reduce negative attitudes and aggressive behavior in the students. This research was the qualitative-quantitative method. We performed a descriptive theoretical analysis about the family structure and school violence; After this a survey was conducted to one hundred students of basic education Middle who ranged from 9 to 12 years of age; to teachers of the institution and a questionnaire survey to the parents or legal guardians of students who were the study sample. Finally, a high index of school violence was reflected in the results obtained in the survey, it was evident that the family structure of students come from different family types, styles of parenting, lack of communication, domestic violence and neglect that makes children project in the school environment. To do so arises the need to design a training proposal on the management of school violence, aimed at the educational community.
