dc.description.abstractChildhood intellectual maturity refers to the development of the child's potential, which depends on the hereditary endowment and the environment. Deficits or delays in learning are not always easy to detect, until the school stage begins, being important to evaluate early each of the skills, intellectual aptitudes and to know strengths or weaknesses in early childhood. The use of the BADyG/i test allows us to know the level of children's intellectual maturity. Objective: To determine the general intellectual maturity in boys and girls from 5 to 6 years old of the Francisca Arízaga Toral Educational Unit, through the application of the Differentials and Generals Aptitudes Battery / Level i - BADyG/i. Methodology: Prospective descriptive observational quantitative study of children aged 5-6 years from the Francisca Arízaga Toral school. Data collection was carried out through the application of BADyG/i, and the results were obtained using the following statistical software: IBM SPSS 22.0 free version, Microsoft Excel 2019 and Microsoft Word 2019. Results: Of the total population investigated, 51.0% correspond to the male sex, of which 16.3% presented a Very Low General Intellectual Maturity Level; 49.0% belong to the female sex, with 12.2% at both Very Low and Medium levels. According to age, 53.1% belonged to the range of 6 years to 6 years 11 months. In general, 28.6% of the population presented a very low level of general intellectual maturity.
