dc.description.abstractThisresearchaimedtodevelopanarchitecturalprefabricated concrete panel that can be used as analternativetothetraditionalconstructionsystemsenclosure. Anelementusedtoachivethiswasthe GRC “GlassFibreReinforcedCement”, a material littleknown in Ecuador. Itiscomposed of a matrix of Portland micro-cement and concrete alkaliresistantglassfibersdispersedthroughoutitsmass. Theresultingcompound has approximatelyonecentimetersection. Itformspanelswith extreme lightness and highflexuralstrength, tensile, impact, fire and itpreventscorrosion.
