An epidemiological profile expresses the health and disease conditions of a group or population at a certain time and place. Risk factors indicate the probability of developing oral pathologies; the same that are associated with the occurrence of the disease and its consequences. For that, 3500 medical records of the registered in “Tandacatu” Health Center during 2012 were reviewed; of these were chosen at random one of ten medical records to complete the sample of 342; these information were qualified and a statistical description of the prevalence of diseases was established. The epidemiological p rofile waspresented by chief complaint, medical history, the location of lesions in the oral cavity, oral pathology’s signs and symptoms like gum recession and tooth mobility, etiological and risk factors like storage of dental plaque and calculus, and oral diseases such as caries, gingivitis, periodontitis, etc. The most frequent reasons for consultation were for dental checkup 50%, 30% dental pain and to "heal the teeth", referring to dental operatory 12%; the least common were for aesthetics, bleeding g ums and presence of pus. Dental caries and periodontal disease were the most prevalent diseases in patients, followed by pulp pathology (reversible pulpitis, irreversible pulpitis, pulp necrosis and periapical abscess). Less common diseases were dental erosion, cold sores, alveolitis dental and ankylosis dental. Most of pathologies occurred in patients older than 20 years, because this age range is more extensive than the other ranges of the medical record.
