| dc.description.abstract | The funeral rituals of “San Jose de Raranga” parish reveal the following: the culture, ideology, traditions, and inclusive ancestral beliefs rooted to the identity of this place. Though, there isn’t any existence of reliable information of this ritual, it is presented as a unknown cultural element, which is why the main reason of this assignment was to elaborate a descriptive project of the funeral rituals of this particular parish.
The leading character of these rituals, in other words the habitant of this parish were the main source of information, aside from the contribution of costumes and point of view of these rituals from another person inherent form the parish. This is why semi structured interview made-up of closed questions was elaborated in advance for the recollection of the already mentioned information. Because of the originality of this assignment the ethnographic, descriptive, and mythological investigation are rated as an ideal quality to reach the targets already proposed.
As a final part of this investigation there’s an analysis and description of the funeral rituals at this parish, the cultural elements presented, the traditions and customs, which as mentioned before, are necessarily exposed as clear samples of cultural expression. In the same way, there’s an analysis of the changes that have come about in these particular rituals as a comparison to the ones done years ago inside the limited of this parish. | |
